LAUNCH OF NEW COURSE/CLASSES OCTOBER 2019
I am very pleased and excited to finally announce my new teaching course/classes, which I’ll be running regularly from my studio in the Jewellery Quarter. I moved to my current studio a year ago, as my previous one was too small to accommodate people on a regular basis. It has taken me a while to get everything sorted alongside working on other projects as well as putting my own gallery together at the premises. Different classes will be added throughout and announced.
“Let’s fill this world with more artists”
Drawing with only a compass and ruler, using time honoured methods participants will create 4 different tessellated patterns from across the Islamic Lands. From this you will gain an understanding of the fundamental principles and the underlying grids used by Islamic artisans throughout history.
So come and join us to develop practical skills in constructing Islamic geometric patterns at the heart of Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter.
Classes are small in artist’s own quiet studio with the opportunity of one to one tuition. Maximum number of participant is limited to 5 people.
Hope to see you soon! :)
